Coach

I love traveling and having adventures especially if they include a passport or hiking in the woods. Be still my heart if they involve both! I’ve long been the resource for tips, advice, and mindset work for everyone I know when it comes to stretching themselves through travel. I believe that travel creates broad minds, big hearts, and better humans. I’m on a mission to get as many people as possible out into the world to appreciate just how beautiful it is. I dream of maps, new experiences, and the beautifully varied people I’ve met in my travels.
I love to laugh and tend to use some humor in my coaching. Laughter opens hearts and minds. It allows people to have fun and grow all at once.
I love to learn and read. I usually have a least 3 books going at a time. I’m a student of Positive Psychology and enjoy bringing the latest findings into my work.
I’m a heart-centered introvert which means that, though I’m quite logic-oriented, I’m able to understand people in a very compassionate and intuitive way. (If you love personality tests, I’m a Myers-Briggs INFJ-A and my Clifton Strengthsfinder top 5 are Individualization, Learner, Relator, Connectedness, and Arranger.)
Self-identification and self-expression are important to me personally and professionally. My pronouns are she/her, feel free to share yours when we chat.
I’m a recovering perfectionist and I love life on this side. I’d love to help you create similar changes.
I’ve experienced many times of transition in my own life and I find them to be natural points at which to reevaluate priorities and choices. Traveling has been part of managing many of these transitions.
I’m happily married to a man who impresses me daily with how fiercely he loves and stands up for other people. I’m the mom of an amazing daughter who is full of determination, kindness, and laughter, with a heart for justice and equity.
I hold a B.A. in Psychology/Sociology and spent the early years of my career in psychological and sociological research before moving on to corporate America. Then came a couple of years as a stay-at-home mom followed by almost a decade working in a non-profit before I realized that I’m here to coach. I LOVE coaching! Here’s the secret, I’ve been a coach in almost every job I’ve ever held, just with different titles. My varied and unique career path has given me deep insight that I find valuable in relating to people in their own unique circumstances.
I LOVE coffee…way too much.
