Dena Henry

My name is Dena and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Undergraduate degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University in 2007 and my Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University in 2010.

I have direct clinical counseling experience in a healthcare setting. I operated as a lead counselor in an intensive outpatient setting working with children, adolescents and adults providing individual, group, and family therapy. Additionally, I worked in the Intake Department where I gathered information and assessed individuals for the proper level of psychiatric care. In this role I also provided community resources and referrals. In addition to my work in a healthcare setting, I worked in a private school setting where I helped to prepare students academically, socially and emotionally. I communicated closely with parents and specialty teachers to assess each child’s educational and developmental needs. I helped to evaluate their school readiness as well as determine if a child has delays in development, and encouraged and monitored students’ social interactions among peers and staff.

Concurrently, I am in private practice providing counseling services for individuals. In addition to my time in private practice, I also facilitate family support groups for Herren Project assisting family members who have loved ones struggling with addiction.
