As of January 2015 I started a health campaign called ThirtyOneCranberries (TaxID# 81-2468559) which has since then blossomed into a health and nutrition (501c3) nonprofit organization here in Washington DC.
Our mission consist of advocating the reduction of salt and sugar in processed foods beginning at the top, the federal government, the food industry, culinary schools, restaurant associations, food PR firms, companies and corporations, schools, clergy, churches, and finally our communities, families, and friends.
We are driven to lower health related illnesses and bring about increased quality of life via eating healthier.
Hunger, those who have and will experience not having a meal or food at any given time in our lives continues to overshadow the concept of eating healthier. We must advocate and fight for the reduction of food deserts and more for affordability in the marketplace for all consumers despite their socio-economic status, for healthier food especially plant-based foods.
We have created our "Breakfast N a Jar" pilot project where kids experience a safe, healthier, nutritional breakfast activity that's organic, gluten-free, plant-based without added salt and sugar and dairy! Your child will be able to make their own breakfast in about five minutes! We support the initiative to bring about the reduction of "Child Obesity" locally and nationally.
Through awareness and education we're creating a more sustainable living and eating healthier environment and community.
